Core Competency and Experience:
- Five+ years of Sales Management experience in building materials or related field
- Proven success record of improving sales and profitability
- Leadership skills - ability to develop motivate and inspire sales team
- Excellent computer skills, highly proficient in all Microsoft Office products, experience utilizing CRM and Business Intelligence software a plus
- Ability to work with senior management in all areas of corporate business (Purchasing, Accounting, Warehouse and Marketing)
- Excellent business acumen
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage, develop, implement and supervise all activities related to The Sales Department:
- Prepare annual Sales Department budget comprising of Sales, GM%, Expense, Staff and compensation and present to President
- Prepare all annual reviews for direct reports
- Works closely General Manager, Accounting, purchasing and the President
- The vision, culture and development of all managers and employees come from the lead of the Vice President
- Interdepartmental channels must be maintained, and grown
- Responsible for developing the company’s yearly sales business plan and ensuring goals and objectives are achieved
- Work closely with accounting to minimize risk with accounts and make sure all A/R is collected
- This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Company’s sales margin, making sure every department is working to our company’s standards
- Vendor and New Product growth: Responsible to manage this development and growth through products
- The Vice President is responsible for all Sales and will be out in front of all trends, communicating with the President, General Manager and head of purchasing – informing them of possible expense cutting situations and added support and product when forecasted sales warrant
